<p>A shield (10-11) conceals operation of a keypad (1) such as a telephone keypad (1), from a view oblique to the user, who can view the keypad either over or through a front member (10). The front member (10) is movable such that it does not interfere with normal operation of the telephone, and permits the handset (2) to be conventionally mounted over the keypad. One or two side members (11) extend from the sides of the keypad (1) forward toward the user, for example by a distance at least equal to the width of the keypad. The front member (10) can be pivotable and/or slidable on the side members (11), and is preferably translucent, whereas the side members (11) are preferably opaque.</p> |
