Electronic timer for pyrolysis cycle for oven of electric cooker

The electronic timer has a pre-selection switch for at least 2 pyrolysis time stages, activating a timer circuit (1) with an electronic device for terminating the pyrolysis cycle after a timed pyrolysis duration. The pre-selection switch may have 3 positions corresponding to light soiling, medium soiling and heavy soiling of the oven interior and can be combined with the oven operating switch. The timer circuit can terminate the pyrolysis cycle by opening a relay load contact (3) which is closed during the pyrolysis cycle, after the timed duration, for disconnecting the oven heating element (2) from the mains supply.
