<p>A design is divided into a plurality of blocks without forming gaps along the boundaries of the blocks and marked. A liquid crystal laser marker in which a design to be marked is displayed on a liquid crystal mask (2) comprising a plurality of pixels, and a laser beam that is transmitted therethrough is permitted to fall on a work, comprises a liquid crystal mask in which the pixels along the whole or part of the outermost periphery have a size different from that of the pixels of the inner side, and a controller (11) which divides the design into a plurality of blocks (1, 1, 1) and so controls the marking positions that the marking positions by the liquid crystal mask displaying the blocks overlap the marking positions of the adjacent blocks by predetermined lengths (L1, L2) of the portions corresponding to the pixels having a different size along the outermost circumference in the liquid crystal mask. Alternatively the liquid crystal laser marker may comprise a liquid crystal mask in which the whole pixels have an equal size, and a controller which so controls the marking positions that the marking positions by the liquid crystal mask displaying the blocks overlap the marking positions of the adjacent blocks by predetermined lengths (L3, L4) of a portion corresponding to part of the pixels along the outermost circumference of the liquid crystal mask.</p> |
