Clasp for jewellery chain or necklace

The clasp comprises a ring shape (3) with an eye for fastening to the end of the necklace (1) and with an opening (8) for receiving a ring which is attached on the other end of the necklace. Both the ends (5,6) of the ring shape overlap to form the opening and are offset crossways to the area (7) encompassed by the ring shape. The clearance of the opening is larger than the thickness of the ring (2).
