Latent heat store for motor vehicle IC engine cooling water circulation
摘要
The engine coolant circuit includes a latent heat storage element which uses a phase change to store heat. The exact state of charge of the heat store is determined by the pressure level inside the storage medium. The pressure sensor controls the coolant circuit. The latent heat storage element is connected to the coolant circuit to increase the rate of rise of engine temperature when cold starting. The pressure control isolates the storage element when sufficient heat has been stored.
