Compositions, in the form of laminated fibrous sheet material which may be vulcanized, comprise natural sheep's wool or fibrous material having substantially the normal fibre size and kink characteristics of wool, e.g. reclaimed wool or crimped rayon and casein, coated and impregnated with an elastomer such as natural or synthetic rubber, e.g. neoprene, butadiene-styrene copolymers or reclaimed rubber, the final ratio of elastomer to fibres in the final product being greater than 1 to 1 by weight. Specified ratios are 2 : 1, 3 : 1, 4 : 1 and 5 : 1. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the treatment of nonlaminated fibrous materials. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
