The nuclear fusion reactor has a fusion chamber in which the fusion material (1) is contained and an array of lasers (3A). The fusion vessel (2) is located within in a fusion space (5) which is filled with a heat transfer material; and the laser light passes through guides (3B) to converge on the fusion material. Also claimed is the generation of energy with the above fusion reactor.
