The invention relates to a peptide from human blood, HF-COLL-18/514cf. For the purpose of diagnostic, medical and commercial use as a drug, the structure of said peptide has been identified. Isolation of said novel peptide, HF-COLL-18/514cf, proves the existence of HF-COLL-18/514cf. The molecular form of HF-COLL-18/514cf has been revealed by mass spectrometry and amino-terminal sequencing, and the fact that HF-COLL-18/514cf is a natural peptide which should be used to treat numerous diseases related to cell growth disorders, in particular of endothelial cells and vessels, and for example in cancer. HF-COLL-18/514cf can also be used commercially in a pure form or as a natural raw extract when researching new cell functions.
