The invention relates to a process for applying water-based paints or varnishes to the surface of glass objects. The process is characterised in that it comprises the steps of: electrically charging a water-based compound to a potential of a given polarity; atomizing this water-based product and diffusing the resulting particles over a large area to form a cloud (120, 121); bringing the glass objects (200) into contact with an electrode with a potential of a different polarity and keeping their surface at a temperature of between 15 and 30 degrees C; introducing these glass objects into the cloud. The process achieves various effects, such as glass tinting, chemical glazing and enamelling. It is designed, inter alia, for the decoration of various types of jars, flasks, bottles and carafes.
|
