The fork has an adjustable stop to reduce its free blade length. There is a turning axis (5) in the region of the fork bend, which holds at least one turning lever (6). The lever can be turned downwards from a roughly vertical initial position towards the fork blade (3). The free end of the lever carries the stop (7), which in working position lies on the fork blade. The turning lever may be lockable in its initial position by a locking device (8). The lever may be able to be held in its working position by a pressing device.
