Maintenance lifting gear for submerged pumps and stirrers

The lifting gear is used during maintenance work on submerged motor pumps or agitating devices. It incorporates a mast (2) standing on a trolley (1) which may be moved up to a barrier wall (22) at the edge of a floor (12) overlooking the pit in which the motor and impeller (7) operate. The mast has a jib (3) and luffing (31) and lifting (5) lines. A sideways projection (16) on the base (14) of the mast has a downward-extending pin which engages in an eye (19) firmly fixed to the wall.
