The appts includes a device, in communication with a first surface, for loosening particles from a second surface. A roll is positioned adjacent the second surface, for which electrostatically loosened particles are attracted. The roll includes a number of segments forming a circumference of the roll with adjacent segments being opposite polarities for attracting to it particles having opposite polarities. The device applies vibratory energy to the first surface. An acoustical horn is incorporated, and which is adjacent to and in contact with the first surface and located adjacent the first surface opposed from the roll. The latter is positioned adjacent to and spaced from the second surface. |
