This invention provides a method of storing input data while a sleep mode of operation is set to a radio paging receiver and confirming hel data in regular order. This method includes the steps of initializing a system and determining if there is input data once power is ON; comparing the input data with its natural address in an EEPROM; sending necessary data to a logic part and determining if a sleep mode is set in the input data; if so, storing input data in a memory in regular order; if the data signal is not input, determining if it is a sleep mode setting selection mode or release selection mode; if not so, determining if the data is input, and if so, determining if it is a sleep mode setting selection mode; if not so, determining if it is a sleep mode setting release selection mode; if not so, determining if the data is input, and if so, determining if the sleep mode has been already released; if so, determining if there is the held data, and if there is no held data, determining if there is input data; and if there is the held data, displaying all the held data on an LCD display and alarming with a paging signal or driving a vibrator.
