<p>PURPOSE:To produce a concrete admixture capable of giving concrete having high strength and good fluidity by heating a mixture of limestone and coal ash with an ultra-high temperature furnace, cooling and condensing the generated vapor to form ultra-fine SiO2 powder and mixing the powder with a slag produced by cooling and crushing molten slag deposited on the furnace bottom. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of limestone 2 and coal ash 1 is heated in an ultra- high temperature furnace 3 to generate vapor of SiO2 and SiO and molten slag having a basicity of >=1.4. The above vapor is cooled and condensed 5 to form ultra-fine particles of amorphous SiO2, which are collected by the steps 6 9. Separately, the above molten slag is cooled 4 to obtain amorphous particles, which are finely pulverized 12 to form fine slug particles 14. The ultra-fine SiO2 powder 9 is mixed 16 with the fine slag particles 14 to obtain the objective concrete admixture 18.</p> |
