<p>The versatility of a portable computer is expanded by placing a hinged connector (33) on an outside of a case of the portable computer. The hinged connector (33) includes an electrical connector (51) to which a handheld device (32,45,46) is connected and disconnected. A hinge (56) connects the hinged connector (33) to the case.
