The method involves a continuous distillation process of at least one set analyte into a gaseous medium in close contact with a contaminated medium combined with enhancement of a concentration of at least one analyte by continuous extraction into a hydrophobic membrane in contact with the gaseous medium. The hydrophobic membrane is selectively permeable for at least one analyte. The hydrophobic membrane defines a measuring space, which is transparent for a measuring radiation. The measuring space is repellent to the contaminated medium and free from any indicator. The measuring space is located on a surface of a light conducting internal reaction element selected from the group consisting of a parallelepiped or a fibre which has a refractive index greater than that of the measuring space. |
