Quad having attached insulated conductors

The quad wiring arrangement has four conductors (1) which are insulated (2) e.g. with cellular polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or a fluorinated polymer, and surrounded collectively by a mass of dielectric (3) which does not extend into the cavity (4) bounded by the lines of tangential contact between the individual strands. The quad may be formed from conductors twisted together in a conventional machine before being passed through an extrusion head. The cavity may be filled with sealant grease without detracting from the flexibility of the completed assembly.
