<p>A cash box 1 comprises a base 4 and a lid 2 releasably lockable thereto, the box having a button operated catch 11 separate to the locking mechanism 8 but mounted on the same axis to retain the lid to the base in a closed position such that with the locking mechanism in an open position the lid may be retained by the catch means and with the locking mechanism is operated to lock the box in the closed position the catch means is no longer operable. The catch may comprise a generally square C shaped portion (11b, Figure 2) forming a spring integrally attached to an inner generally square portion (11c, Figure 2) mounted on the main shaft of the lock mechanism 8.</p> |
