The purpose of this invention is to improve the network efficiency in transmission of computer programs or data through a network for satellite broadcasting or cable television so as to construct a system which can be easily used by the users of receivers. Data for computer are transmitted from a data transmitter to a transmission line for digital video signal, such as the satellite broadcasting channel, cable television channel, etc., through which digital video signals can be simultaneously received by a large number of data receivers. Such a transmission line, or a separate line for direct connection between the transmitter and receiver, is used to transfer data for transmission control so that the users of the data receivers can select required data. |
