A remote operating process for the remote-controlled operation of an actuator connected to a first unit on the basis of a remote operation command from a second unit which is connected to the first unit via a connection-oriented digital data network with a signalling and a data channel has the operating steps: when the actuator is to be operated, the remote operation command and a datum clearly identifying the second unit is transmitted from the second unit via the signalling channel of the digital data network to the first unit; the information clearly identifying the second unit is stored in the first unit and the operation of the actuator in accordance with the remote operating command received by the first unit is triggered; and, if the data channel of the digital data network to which the first unit is connected is free, a connection is made via the data channel between the first and the second unit. |
