Cutting machine

The harvesting reaping implement has a cutter (4) with a working position and a spaced position above the soil. A coupling (2) connects the implement to the towing tractor. A carrying beam (3) is connected to the hitch via a first pivot (10) and to the cutter by a second pivot. A handling actuator (5) moves the implement between work and retracted positions. A handling boom (25) connects to the cutter and has a lever (27) connected to the cutter via a third pivot (29) and a screw (56) to hold it in the retracted position. The boom has a second lever (35) connected to a part of the beam via an articulation (36) and to the first lever by a further articulation (37).
