<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance harmful component absorbing capacity to a conventional degree or more and to inexpensively and efficiently produce an absorber by using calcium hydroxide as a component reacting with a harmful component contained in the exhaust gas from a combustion furnace. SOLUTION: A powder based on magnesium hydroxide like a powder of brucite being a natural matter is granulated into a predetermined shape along with an inorg. solidifying agent. This harmful component absorber solidified by the solidifying agent becomes high in strength and the generation of dust is prevented and disposal handling becomes easy. That is, magnesium chloride being a reaction product of a chlorine compd. being a harmful component in exhaust gas and magnesium hydroxide has deliquescent properties in a form of hexahydride stable at the normal temp. and absorbs moisture in the atmosphere to show a muddy state and becomes difficult to discard. However, since the absorber is solidified by the solidifying agent, the absorbent keeps its original shape by the action of the solidifying agent and the disposal handling thereof after use is easy because the absorber does not deliquesce.</p> |
