PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of compensating for surface staining due to stainings on all the mirrors and the lens of an optical system which build up as time elapses, capable of preventing surface staining in the case of copying an original document whose surface has high density or a color original-document, and capable of high-quality image formation. SOLUTION: The image forming device irradiates an original document 1 by means of an exposure lamp 8, makes light reflected from it form an image, as the image information of the original document 1, onto a photoreceptor 20 via the reflecting mirrors and lens 12, and carries out image formation for the original document 1. In the image forming device, light transmitted through a half-mirror 16 is detected by an optical sensor 4 disposed behind the half-mirror 16 which is near the photoreceptor 20. By means of a microcomputer 6, a reference detection value from a reference-density reflection light from a reference-density reflector 3 which is detected by the optical sensor 4 in advance is compared with an elapse detection value from reference-density reflection light which is detected by the optical sensor 4 at the time of the image formation. By means of a device 7 for fuming on a lamp, a quantity of light from the exposure lamp 8 is controlled so that both the detection values match. This compensates for stainings on all the reflecting mirrors and the lens and enables the high-quality image formation. |
