PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method for fixing in an electrophotographic system, capa ble of obtaining an adequate fixing performance, while being excellent in anti- hot offsetting property even corresponding to low energy fixing type toner. SOLUTION: At the time of executing heat press fixing of toner, a static contact angle and the backward contact angle are measured by the liquid of dipole moment <=3.0 debye, adhesive constantμs-b(1) calculated by substituting the formulaμs-b(n)=(cosθb-cosθs)/sinθb, ratio to the adhesive constantμs-b(2) obtained by performing the same measuring applying the liquid of the dipole moment = 0 debye, the ratio,μs-b(1)/μs-b(2) is <=8.0 the fixing member is adopted. Now,μs-b(n) shows attachment coefficient, n shows 1 or 2,θb shows the backward contact angle, andθs shows the static contact angle.
