PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce deodorizing fibers, effective against even acetaldehyde contained in a large amount in tobacco smoke and having durability in washing, etc., by heat-treating polyester-based fibers with a hydrazine derivative. SOLUTION: Polyester-based fibers are dipped in an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersion of a hydrazine derivative and treated at 110-150 deg.C for 10-60min under a high pressure or the polyester-based fibers impregnated with the aqueous solution or aqueous dispersion are dried and then heat-treated under dry conditions or steam at 130-200 deg.C for 30-300sec to produce deodorizing fibers. |
