<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hit a ball so as to increase a running distance under the application of rather an over-spinning motion to the ball, and not a back-spinning motion at the time of hitting, without causing any feeling of physical disorder at address. SOLUTION: A neck 2 is placed so as to extend over an area approximately from the position of a face 11 on a head body 1 to the back thereof at a position nearer the heel 14 or the toe 15 of the head body 1, and formed to have a blade shape standing from the head body 1 to such a level as equal to or above the face 11.
