PRODUCTION OF PRINTING INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing ink of high-qualityβtype copper phthalocyanine pigment capable of shortening long hours and reducing labor related to a process for pigmenting crude copper phthalocyanine and a process for producing a printing ink from the pigment. SOLUTION: This method for producing a printing ink comprises adding 20-80wt.% based on crude copper phthalocyanine of a resin for the printing ink to the crude copper phthalocyanine, grinding the resin at 80-170 deg.C in a dry method and heating the prepared ground material in a solvent or a varnish for the printing ink. The printing ink contains the copper phthalocyanine ofβtype crystal having 1-2 aspect ratio.
