PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a state of being stopped at the time of replenishment of toner due to the toner shortage, by means of a simple constitution and control, and to simplify the replenishment work of the toner. SOLUTION: In this toner feeding device 1, plural toner containers 2 containing the toner arranged in a row, and a placing stand 3 mounting them while composing a flow passage for feeding the toner into developing means is respectively needed. The toner containers 2 is severally arranged so that one of them located on an end part drops the toner into the flow passage inside on the placing stand 3. The toner containers 2 is severally provided with an attach-detachable cap 2a on respective bottom part. The cap 2a is severally composed so as to be released when located on an opening for dropping the toner therein. The toner container 2, when the toner is exhausted, is made so as to draw out in the direction orthogonal to the arranged direction, and the next one is successively shifted. Respective side plane of the toner containers 2 is transparent, the toner sensor is made front on the side the toner container 2 allocated on the feeding position, and the toner shortage is detected. |
