PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an apparatus lightweight and compact and to measure the concentration of oxygen stably for a long period by a method wherein an air cell which comprises an oxygen-amount limitation means or the like is used as an oxygen concentration sensor. SOLUTION: An air cell in which an oxygen-amount control diaphragm 14 (an oxygen-amount limitation means) used to limit oxygen is attached to an air vent is used as an oxygen concentration sensor 15 which detects the concentration of oxygen. Then, a simple oxygen concentration meter is constituted of the oxygen concentration sensor 15 and of an ampere meter 25. In the air cell, a reducing substance, i.e., zinc, at a negative pole is reacted with the oxygen, and an electromotive force is generated. In the oxygen concentration sensor 15, an electrolyte at the inside of the air cell is protected by the oxygen-amount control diaphragm 14 arranged at the air vent of the air cell so as not to be evaporated in a short time, and it is possible to prevent the cell from becoming incapable of functioning. In addition, in the air cell, the chemical reaction of the oxygen with the reducing substance is very weak, the life of the reducing substance becomes long, and the concentration of the oxygen can be measured for a long period. |
