PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact constitution by connecting one end to a differential gear case main body including a differential gear, providing a crown gear fitting member which is extended along a drive shaft projecting from the differential gear case main body, and fitting the crown gear at certain intervals from the differential gear case main body. SOLUTION: A differential gear case main body 62 for storing a differential gear 68 and a crown gear 65 are separated from each other so that the crown gear provided around the outer circumference of the differential gear case main body 62 is abolished, the diameter of a crown gear 65 provided in a crown gear fitting member 63 can be miniaturized, and so the whole body of the differential gear 60 is constituted into the small diameter. An oil pump, respective frictional engagement elements, etc., arranged in the front part of the transmission is arranged on the differential gear 60 so that a torque convertor and the transmission are arranged close to each other. The length of the front/rear direction of a vehicle body of the transmission is drastically contracted and the central part of the differential gear case 61 becomes a small diameter so that it becomes compact.
