PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly apply fastening force of a bolt by an end block to the entire surface, shorten an applying time and secure sealability by fusing low- density polyethylene sheets at the circumferential edge of lamination surfaces of a battery stack. SOLUTION: A low-density polyethylene sheet is cut into a predetermined size larger by about 10mm in margin than an area of a lamination surface of a battery stack 20, thereby preparing sheets 21a-21d. The sheet 21a is fused by about 5mm in width at the circumferential edge of a terminal electrode 4 of the battery stack 20 by the use of iron coated with Teflon. Similarly, the sheets 21b-21d are fused at the circumferential edges of the corresponding lamination surfaces of the battery stack 20, and then, excessive portions are cut off by a cutter. Consequently, there hardly occurs contraction in a lamination direction of a battery, so that fastening force of a bolt by an end block of a fiber reinforced plastic can be uniformly applied to the entire surface. Furthermore, an applying time of a peripheral seal can be reduced to a half of a conventional applying time. Moreover, it is possible to secure sealability so as to prevent any leakage. |
