<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high accuracy control of distribution of radiation intensity over a sectorial section by providing the device with a control means for dynam ic control of three-dimensional distribution of radiation in an arbitral outer and inner treatment capacities during treatment operation of an object. SOLUTION: With a slit opening connected to an X-ray source, a sectorial X-ray beam is made applicable, and in the sectorial beam a multileaf collimator (MLC) 10 including a leaf is arranged. The leaf is composed of two pairs of sub-leaves 28, 29, each 28, 29 being movable while the lower sub-leaf 29 being capable of moving faster slightly and being wider in width than the upper subleaf 28. Thereby it can be adjusted to the direction angle of 90 degrees to the leaf movement from an X-ray target. With the arrangement of linear detector mounted on a side part of a patient on the opposite side of the X-ray source, the patient is monitored.</p> |
