<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent communication from being interrupted even when a bit rate gets higher in the case of transmitting a packet stream while transforming it to the packet stream of equal intervals by adding information for reproducing an interval to the packet stream to fluctuate that interval. SOLUTION: On the side of a transmitter 1, a time stamp is calculated by adding prescribed offset time to current time concerning the respective packets of the packet stream to fluctuate the interval. Then, when the calculated time stamp is less than the value of time stamp stores the last time, that packet is abandoned. Besides, when the time stamp is not less than the value of time stamp stored the last time, the stored value of time stamp is updated, the calculated time stamp is added to the packet and the timing of the packet, to which the time stamp is added, is adjusted by a buffer 13. Then, on the side of a receiver 2, the received packet is stored in a buffer 23 and afterwards, according to the time stamp added to this packet, the interval of the packet stream is reproduced.</p> |
