PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method of a hot steel plate which can produce a steel plate having different strength and toughness inside the same steel plate. SOLUTION: Cooling devices 7 to 10 having plural spray nozzles 13A to 13D in the width direction of inside and outside faces of a hot steel plate are arranged at just before and/or just after a rolling mill 4. These spray nozzles 13A to 13D have jetting and incercepting function controlled individually from the outside. When rolling plural passes while cooling the hot steel plate 3, a specific nozzle is made to jet or intercept at a specific pass.
