PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a building component which is very light, simple in structure, and excellent in radio wave absorbing properties by a method wherein a resistor composed of arranged carbon long fiber bundles is provided in a building finishing member or between a building finishing member and a structural member. SOLUTION: A resistor 4 composed of arranged fiber bundles 7 of carbon long fiber whose volume resistivity is 10<-4> to 10<4>Ω.cm is provided to a building finishing member 1 or between a building finishing member 1 and a structural member 2. The resistors 4 each composed of the fiber bundles 7 are arranged in parallel at a certain interval and connected together with a flexible connector 8 such as a tape. When the resistor 4 is provided to a structural member, a gap d±0.5d is provided between the resistor 4 and the structural member, wherein d is so set as to satisfy a formula d=λ/(4×ε<1/2> ), whereλis the wavelength of radio wave to absorb, andεis the relative permittivity of air. By this setup, a building component very light in weight, simple in structure, and excellent in radio wave absorbing properties can be formed.
