<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a binder for a printing ink excellent in adhesiveness to various films, capable of providing a printed matter excellent in physical properties such as boiling resistance, retort resistance, surface strength, non- stickiness and oil resistance and a printing ink composition containing the binder. SOLUTION: In this binder for a printing ink mainly containing a polyurethane obtained by reacting a polyol component with a polyisocyanate component, the polyol component comprises a polyester polyol, consisting essentially of a diol unit of the formula -OCH2 -CH(CH3 )-(CH2 )4 -CH(CH3 )-CH2 -O- and/or the formula -OCH2 -CH(CH3 )-(CH2 )5 -CH(CH3 )-CH2 -O- and having 700-5,000 number- average molecular weight, as a main component.</p> |
