PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable control of operating frequency of a compressor without exceeding the set value of upper limit of a total current by a method wherein a current control means, determining the deteriorating width of operating frequency of the compressor in accordance with a difference between a room temperature and a set temperature as well as the using rate of current when a total current has exceeded the set value, and a means, compensating the operating frequency of the compressor by a command from the current control means, are provided. SOLUTION: When a total current B is detected by a total current sensor (ST2), the total current B is compared with the set value of upper limit of total current A (ST3) and the result of judgement is outputted to a current control means. The current control means reads the values of current of respective air conditioners, an indoor temperature and a set temperature to determine the deteriorating width of operating frequency of the compressor in accordance with a rule related to a comfortable degree and a current using rate (ST4), then, outputs the determined value to the compensating means of respective air conditioners (ST5). Next, the total current B is detected with a predetermined sampling period (ST6) to check whether the total current B is lower than a given rate of the capacity of a breaker or not (ST7). When it is not lower than the given rate, the operation is returned to the step ST4, however, when it is lower than the given rate, the lowering command of number of rotation to the compensating means is released. |
