PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mark of a separation pawl from being put on recording paper on which an image has been transferred by switching off output from a transfer electrifier and a separation electrifier when the recording paper housed in an intermediate tray after transferring the image of one side of an original is carried again. SOLUTION: In the case of performing the transfer in a 'both-side one side mode', only the image on one side of a both-side original is consecutively transferred on the recording paper 3 and the recording paper 3 on which the image has been transferred is successively housed in the intermediate tray 2 as the image transferred recording paper 4. Next, in the case of carrying the recording paper 4 supplied from the tray 2 to a position opposed to the transfer electrifier 13 and the separation electrifier 14, the output from the electrifiers 13 and 14 are switched off. Thus, even in the case the recording paper 4 is in a face curled state, it is not electrostatically attracted to a photoreceptor drum 5, the electrostatic attraction of the recording paper 4 to the drum 5 caused by the output from the charger 14 does not occur, and the mark of the separation pawl 15 is prevented from being put on the recording paper 4. |
