<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developer capable of clearly developing an electrostatic image and having stable developing performance even in continuous use over a long period of time by using aluminum hydroxide having a specified quantity of electric charges by contact as stock of a positive charge type toner. SOLUTION: Aluminum hydroxide having >=30μC/g, preferably 30-200μC/g, especially preferably 35-150μC/g quantity of electric charges by contact is mixed with a positive charge type toner to obtain the objective developer. The average particle diameter of the aluminum hydroxide is about 0.1-5.0μm, preferably about 0.5-3.0μm. It is preferable that the aluminum hydroxide does not include particles of >=10.6μm as coarse aggregated particles. The BET specific surface area of the aluminum hydroxide is about 10-1,000m<2> /g, preferably about 200-700m<2> /g.</p> |
