PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the high-speed multiplex transmission of analog signals and digital data while efficiently using an analog line by converting the analog signal into a digital signal, demodulating the converted digital signal, discriminating coordinates on a two-dimensional plane and inputting the discriminated result to a modem transmission part. SOLUTION: A modem signal transmitter 1 and a modem signal receiver 8 are connected through a transmission line 7. The modem signal transmitter 1 is provided with an analog/digital(A/D) converting part 2, demodulation part 3, filter 4 for decimation processing, discrimination part 5 and modem transmission part 6. Then, the analog signal is converted into the digital signal and demodulated and the coordinates are discriminated on the two-dimensional plane later. The discriminated result is inputted and transmitted to the modem transmission part 6 as digital data. Thus, communication is enabled even concerning high-speed data such as a carrier signal at the transmission rate of 9600bps to be used for a FAX signal. |
