PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat storage element so designed as to hold a heatstorable material making use of phase change in another heatstorable material making use of crystal transition, capable of retaining its shape within the range of the service temperature of the former heat-storable material and of storing heat in high efficiency. SOLUTION: This heat storage element is obtained by holding (B) a heatstorable material making use of latent heat involved in phase change (e.g. calcium chloride hexahydrate, sodium sulfate decahydrate, polyalkylene glycol, paraffin-based compound) in another heat-storable material making use of latent heat involved in crystal transition in solid phase state (e.g. trans-1,4 polybutadiene). Specifically, this heat storage element is produced, for example, by molding the component A into a vessel or capsule by injection molding or extrusion molding process followed by holding the component B in the vessel or capsule. |
