摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of polarization, light transmittance and productivity and to simplify constitution by adopting the constitution which is nearly the same in the refractive index to one of the linearly polarized light intersecting with microregions to a high-polymer film and is different in the refractive index to the other of the linearly polarized light. SOLUTION: The microregions consisting of the material different from the material of the transparent high-polymer film are uniformly dispersed into the film. The constitution in which the high-polymer film and the microregions have nearly the same refractive index n1 to the other of the intersecting linearly polarized light and have the different refractive index n2 to the other of the linearly polarized light is adopted. In such a case, the polarizing element of the high light transmittance is embodied by using scattering of light and simultaneously the inexpensive polarizing element which is producible in the same manner a for the production of the high-polymer film, is excellent in productivity, allows easy mass production and has a large area is embodied. The polarizing element having the high light transmittance is embodied by the lamination type constitution obtd. by laminating the dichromatic polarizing element having the degree of polarization of >=99% on the high-polymer film so as to be paralleled with the axis of the light transmission thereof.
