<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the picture display system in which disturbance in the display colors of the picture that is continuously displayed is suppressed while the picture, which consists of a plurality of color pictures, is switched to another picture on the display having a limit in the number of display colors. SOLUTION: When a picture 21 is switched to a picture 22, a comparison is made between a look up table(LUT) 23 which is optimized to the picture 21 and a LUT which is optimized to the picture 22 and the LUT 25 is rearranged so that the color cell of the same color (a common color) comes to the same position on the LUT. Then, the color cell of the LUT 23, which does not have the same color in the LUT 25 (a non-common color), is made into an intermediate LUT 24 in which the non-common color is replaced by the common color that is the closest to the non-common color, and immediately before the switching of the pictures, the picture A, which is continuously plotted by the pictures 21 and 22, is replotted by the LUT 24.</p> |
