PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove incorporated foreign matter, particularly glass pieces by providing a perforated plate in which many oblong holes are made in the oblique direction at a specified inclined angle, reciprocating the perforated plate at a specified angle with a specified amplitude at a specified speed and causing a group of granular materials while passing an air flow through the oblong holes from below at a specified flow rate. SOLUTION: In a perforated plate 7, many oblong holes 3 in the shape of a slit and whose opening direction DH is oblique to the plate surface are made. The perforated plate 7 is arranged at an angleθP of 7 deg.-10 deg. to a horizontal direction LH in the same direction as the opening direction DH of the oblong hole 3. The perforated plate 7 is supported by a support spring plate and is reciprocated with an amplitude of 6mm-12mm and 350-650 times per min in the same direction as the inclined one of the perforated plate 7 and in the direction DV at an angleθV of 40 deg.-90 deg. to the horizontal direction LH. A group of granular materials are caused to flow down at a flow rate of <=5.5m<3> per m<2> of the area of the perforated plate per hr. Furthermore, an air flow is passed through the oblong holes 3 of the perforated plate 7 from below. In this way, even materials of small difference in specific gravity and large particle size are sorted.
