PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible efficiently specifying a font control name when a composite font is installed by gaining a control name of a font stored in a file and installing a plurality of fonts according to the control name. SOLUTION: Whether or not an install object font file for display outputting from a CRT and print outputting from a PRT is a composite font file is discriminated (201), and when it is the composite font file, the font control name is specified and inputted by a key board (202). On the other hand, when not the composite font file, a font name is obtained from the font file to be made the font control name (203). The matter that the font file is installed using these font control names is requested to a system (204). In such a manner, a user specifies the control name of the composite font file, the number of fonts becoming a control object are reduced, and the font name is shortened. |
