At least a part of the solid oxidising salt contains ammonium ions and the mixt. contains an addition of acid amounting to between 0.5 and 30 wt.% of the compsn. The acid has a pKa value at room temp. between 1 and 10, and pref. between 2 and 8. The acid has a water solubility at room temp. exceeding 25 grams per litre of water and pref. exceeding 100 grams per litre of water. It is added in powder-form. The average particle size of the powder is less than the average particle size of the oxidising salt. The acid has a fuel value and together with the fuel gives the compsn. an oxygen balance between -20% and +10%. The acid is organic with between 1 and 12 carbon atoms, or is selected amongst monocarboxyl acids with between 1 and 10 carbon atoms or amongst di or polycarboxyl acids with between 2 and 12 carbon atoms. The acid is a hydroxy-acid, partic. apple acid, tartaric acid or citric acid. |
