A high-voltage generator embodies two high voltage generators for outputting first and second high voltages, provides a potential from the first high voltage within a short time if the second high voltage's potential suddenly drops, thereby enhancing a potential of the second high voltage. The high-voltage generator includes: a first high voltage generator for outputting a first high voltage; a second high voltage generator for outputting a second high voltage; and a high voltage maintaining circuit which is positioned between the output terminal of the first high voltage generator and the output terminal of the second high voltage generator, and provides a potential to the first high voltage if a voltage drop occurs in the second high voltage.
