A chocolate product comprises from about 15% to about 60% by weight of maple sugar. The product may optionally comprise a comestible fibrous material, such as polydextrose. In a preferred embodiment the product comprises about 30% maple sugar and about 10% polydextrose by weight. In another embodiment, the product also comprises milk powder and the amount of maple sugar is between about 20% and about 50% by weight.
