The table has a central hole (5) that holds an electric grill (7) to cook food. The grill is lower than the upper surface of the table and is covered by a cover whose upper surface is level with the table. The hole has a shoulder round its perimeter edge that is below the upper surface of the table and supports the grill. The cover is a plate with lower projecting edges which rest on the shoulder or it can be a flat plate whose edges rest on an upper shoulder in the hole.
