The display has a support (2) for the information panel (3) in a vertical position. A frame (13) has two uprights (4) to lift the display to a selected level above ground. The display panel is a flexible sheet of plastics material. The support frame has a clamp to grip the upper part of the panel and straps (6) to displace the upper edge of the display along the longitudinal axes of the uprights. An actuator (7) is situated lower in the frame to actuate the straps. A channel section (8) holds the panel in a flat configuration.
